Making a Difference

-LIT Resource Connect: This program will connect individuals to all of the many essential resources in the community helping them access the assistance they need to successfully reintegrate into society and get back on their feet lacking nothing. 

-LIT Literacy Programs: These programs are focused on GED/High School Diploma Preparation, College Preparation, and Adult Education Classes

-Child 2 Mom: This is a program that enables children who may not have family able to  provide transportation to visit their incarcerated mothers. LIT will provide rides for children who do not have transportation to the prison. (Rides may be offered as well to parents who don't have transportation to see their children who may be in prison.

-Smile Boxes: This is a program that is implemented once a year as a group and once on an individual basis. The inmates will receive a SmileBox on their Birthday and another on Christmas. The box includes special items including sanitary items, underwear, thermals, socks, toiletries, and stationary. Smile Boxes are meant to make the ladies feel thought of as well as put a smile on their faces during those special occasions where family may not come through. 

-Court Advocacy : This offers a person to accompany women to and from court dates to offer support and encouragement on days where it may be hard to take on days like those alone. 

- LIT Renewed: This is a faith and fellowship gathering space where women come together to explore Gods word, share life's challenges, and encourage each other through faith and honest conversation. Each session includes Bible study, open discussions ("Girl Talk") , prayer, and support, designed to uplift, heal, and empower.
